This is a pivotal moment for Mentera. The Welsh business landscape is constantly evolving, and we need a Board that reflects this dynamism. We are seeking to appoint up to three new non-executive directors to strengthen our leadership and ensure we continue to deliver impactful programmes that meet the ever-changing needs of Welsh businesses.

Building a Diverse and Expert Board for the Future

We are particularly interested in attracting individuals with a deep understanding of key sectors driving Wales' economic growth:

• Digital Technologies: The digital revolution is transforming every aspect of business and we’re looking for expertise in areas like cybersecurity, data analytics, and artificial intelligence.
• Food and Drink: Wales boasts a thriving food and drink sector, renowned for its quality and innovation. We are looking for individuals with experience in this sector, including production, marketing, and supply chain management.
• Tourism: As a nation of stunning natural beauty, tourism plays a significant role in the Welsh economy. We are keen to welcome individuals with expertise in hospitality, leisure, and the visitor experience.
• Finance: Access to finance is crucial for business growth and we’re seeking expertise in areas like investment, finance, and financial planning.
• Innovation: Nurturing a culture of innovation is essential for the long-term success of Welsh businesses. We are looking for individuals with experience in research and development, technology transfer, and the commercialisation of new ideas.

But our focus goes beyond sector expertise. We want to improve our Board’s diversity, ensuring that our Board better reflects and represents every community in Wales. We also want to increase representation from North Wales. A diverse Board, with a wide range of perspectives and experiences, will bring fresh insights and strengthen our ability to deliver impactful support programmes for all Welsh businesses.
