Brief profiles of the newly appointed non-executive board members:

Huw Eurig
Huw, a seasoned business leader with over 25 years of experience, co-founded Boomerang, a Welsh production company. Under his leadership, Boomerang grew from a 3-person startup to a creative powerhouse with a £80 million turnover and over 400 employees, with a strong focus on Wales. Huw’s expertise extends beyond growth; he has vast experience in mergers and acquisitions, navigating both public and private markets. Additionally, his experience running a company on the stock market and leveraging equity finance is invaluable. Huw’s commitment extends beyond his own success, as evidenced by his leadership roles in industry organisations and Fellowships at prestigious universities.

Mari Stevens
Mari is an entrepreneurial senior leader with fifteen years’ experience working in Wales and internationally, in the public and private sectors. Mari has recently set-up her own consultancy business, Anian, specialising in providing strategic advice in the fields of destination management, place brand and marketing, culture, media and tech. Her previous experience includes establishing the ground-breaking Ogi brand, working as the Head of Visit Wales as well as the Head of Marketing at Dŵr Cymru and BBC Cymru Wales.

Geraint Jones
Geraint is currently the senior Domain Security Architect for Aldermore Bank. A practical and pragmatic consultant, architect, and NED leveraging a career spanning 30 years in IT and Information Security in the UK and across Europe – but his family roots (and heart) are in the farming community of Pen Llŷn. Having realised early on that technology is not the ‘silver bullet’ of security, he has developed a strong appreciation of the business implications of technology, and enjoys helping people make sense of their systems and data obligations, improving their ‘Cyber’ posture, and guiding them to make informed decisions to drive achievable outcomes.

Carys Owens
Carys is the current Managing Director of Whisper Cymru, a renowned broadcast production agency recognised for its award-winning sports, live and unscripted entertainment content. With a proven track record in the industry, Carys has previously served as the Managing Director of Lens360, showcasing her leadership and expertise in the field of broadcast production.

Menter a Busnes is confident that the addition of these key appointments will further enhance the organisation’s ability to support businesses and communities across Wales and to develop the Welsh economy.
