Farming for the future

Farming for the future

Farming for the future

What are we looking for?

We are looking for farmers of varying farming sectors and farm types from across Wales to share their views and experiences of farming in a changing climate. This study is funded by the Welsh Government.

Expectations and the benefits of participating:

You will be invited to attend and contribute to one 2.5 hours face-to-face workshop in February as part of a series of workshops across Wales by sharing your opinion and knowledge in terms of your farming techniques. The workshop will focus on gathering information on changes to your farming practices in response to changes in farming conditions in the agriculture sector or specifically to adapt to climate change. All data captured during the workshops will remain anonymous.

The precise locations of the workshops will be confirmed after the recruitment window closes to ensure a central location within each region of Wales  (North East Wales, North West Wales, Mid East Wales, Mid West Wales, South East Wales, South West Wales) for participating farmers.

As an acknowledgement of your time commitment , refreshments and a £50 voucher for an agricultural merchant will be provided.

An online workshop will be arranged for the interested farmers unable to attend in-person. A £25 voucher for an agricultural merchant will be provided as an acknowledgement of your time.

We welcome applications from all Welsh farmers. Take advantage of the opportunity to contribute your knowledge to help advise future policy development and showcase what Welsh farmers are already doing to prepare for a changing climate.
