The first SBARC Ceredigion project proved highly effective, providing 24 aspiring entrepreneurs with invaluable learning experiences. This new chapter builds upon that foundation, expanding our reach to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit across the region.

Sbarduno:   Inspiring the Next Generation

For Schools and Youth Organisations

This level focuses on sparking interest in young people via unique entrepreneurship sessions.

Tyfu:   Growing Your Idea

Tyfu:   Growing Your Idea

For Aspiring Entrepreneurs with a Business Idea

Designed for individuals with a developing business idea. The Tyfu cohort will gain invaluable experience through three intensive residential weekends.

Key Dates & Requirements:

  • Residential 1: 26-28 September
  • Residential 2: 28-30 November
  • A residential trip to another country: (date + location TBC).
  • Application Deadline: 9am, 4 August 2025

Attendance at the Ceredigion residentials is mandatory for all successful applicants.

Ffynnu: Thriving and Scaling

For Established Business OwnersThis intensive business support programme, running from September to December 2025, combines 1:1 support, expert advice, business coaching, and group sessions to drive real, tailored growth for each business.

Programme Objectives:

  • Define growth (financial, operational, strategic, or impact-based).
  • Progress to the next stage of development (e.g., market share, profit, team size).
  • Access specialist, tailored support for challenges and opportunities.
  • Build confidence in strategic decisions (pricing, recruitment, investment, innovation).
  • Encourage continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Identify and overcome obstacles to growth.
  • Strengthen the local economy and supply chain.
  • Promote long-term sustainability, including digital and low carbon practices.

Key Commitments:

  • Introductory Day: In-person on 9 September 2025 at Ty Glyn, Ciliau Aeron.
  • Series of 1:1 sessions with business experts (online).
  • Half day/evening session (October, date and location TBC).
  • Field visit: A day to visit growing businesses in Ceredigion and neighbouring counties (November).
  • Closing event (December, date and venue TBC).
  • Application Deadline: 9am, 4 August 2025

SBARC Ceredigion is an enhanced entrepreneurship programme funded by the UK Government’s Levelling Up agenda, designed to empower aspiring and established business owners in Ceredigion. It offers three distinct levels of support: Sbarduno, Tyfu, and Ffynnu.

SBARC Ceredigion is for individuals who live or work in Ceredigion and are over 18 years of age. It caters to different stages of entrepreneurial development:

  • Sbarduno: For schools and youth organisations, and individuals interested in entrepreneurship.
  • Tyfu: For those with a developing business idea or eager to start their own venture.
  • Ffynnu: For established business owners looking to expand and grow.

  • Sbarduno: Focuses on inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs through sessions in schools and youth organisations. There’s also an open session for individuals.
  • Tyfu: Provides intensive residential weekends (including an international trip) and mentorship for aspiring entrepreneurs to develop their business ideas.
  • Ffynnu: Offers dedicated residential weekends and bespoke, tailor-made sessions for established business owners seeking growth strategies.

The application window for both the Tyfu and Ffynnu programmes closes at 9am, 04 August 2025. We will be accepting Sbarduno visit request up until December.
